Check it yourself

  1. iPhone: open Settings, then General, then About. Look at Carrier Lock. "No SIM restrictions" means it is unlocked.
  2. Any phone: switch it off, put in a SIM card from a different carrier and switch it on.
  3. If it asks for an unlock code, or says the SIM is not supported, it is locked. If you can call and use data, it is unlocked.

How can I tell if my phone is unlocked?

Run the free check on this page with your IMEI. You can also try a SIM card from another carrier: if it asks for a code or says the SIM is not supported, it is locked.

Where do I find my IMEI?

Dial *#06# on the phone. It also appears in Settings under About phone, and on the original box.

My phone is locked. What now?

Ask your carrier for a free unlock first if you qualify. Check your carrier's current policy. If you do not qualify, or the carrier will not act, we can help.

Does this check remove any lock?

No. It only reads the status. We never remove iCloud, FRP, Google account or MDM locks.
