About untethr

I'm Peter. I have worked on phones at the bench for 10 years. Screens, batteries, charging ports, and a lot of customers asking whether their phone can work on another network.

Why I built untethr

People were paying too much, or getting lost in carrier phone menus, or buying used phones they could not use. I wanted one place that tells you the truth first: what your phone is, what it needs, what it costs, and how long it takes.

How I work

• I tell you when your carrier can unlock the phone for free. Often it can, if you qualify.
• I show the full price and the delivery time before you pay.
• If the unlock does not happen, you get a full refund.
• I do not touch lost or stolen phones.
• I do not remove iCloud, Activation Lock, FRP, MDM or Google account locks. Those belong to the account owner.
